Girl Scouts of ICN

Islamic Center of Naperville (ICN) Girl Scouting builds girls' leadership, courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place. Our troops lead meetings in accordance with Girl Scouts of America (GSA) principles while adhering to our core Islamic values.

Troop Levels & Meetings:

We host several troops based on the scout's current grade level. All troop meetings are held on the first Friday of the month on ICN premises from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM, unless otherwise noted.

  • Daisies: Kindergarten

  • Daisies: 1st Grade

  • Brownies: 2nd Grade

  • Brownies: 3rd Grade

  • Juniors: 4th Grade

  • Juniors: 5th Grade

  • Cadettes: 6th Grade

  • Cadettes: 7thGrade

  • Cadettes: 8th Grade‍

  • Seniors & Ambassadors: 9th - 12th Grade

What Parents Need to Know:

Before registering, please review these key troop policies and requirements:

  • Scout and Parent Registration: Each scout must be registered with an ICN associated troop. Parents must register as a Troop Support Volunteer with one of their child's troops. This includes a background check per Council requirements, to allow parents to join in chaperoning overnight events and field trips

  • Payment Method: All payments for dues, field trips, and cookies are collected via Cash, checks, Zelle or PayPal

  • Health History: Troops require an annual Girl or Adult Health History, which leaders must carry on hand during all trips and meetings to ensure quick access to emergency and allergy data

  • Uniform & Materials: Scouts should wear a level specific vest or sash (purchased from the GS council store). The official uniform with a plain white shirt, and khaki or denim pants is suggested. Please also bring a headscarf for salah and a reusable water bottle

  • Communication: Our primary communication methods include WhatsApp, Evite, Email, and Sign-Up Genius

For 2026-27 Year:

  • Registration for Scouts is $65 per scout

  • Registration for an Adult as a Troop Support Volunteer is $30. (This is a flat fee regardless of how many volunteer roles chosen)
