Our Shuyookh

Shaykh Dr. Rizwan Ali is currently the Senior Imam and Religious Director of the Islamic Center of Naperville. He also serves as the head of the Quran, Arabic and Islamic Studies department at CPSA in Lombard, IL, and is an instructor for Mishkah University. He attended Islamic Foundation School in Villa Park, IL and completed his Hifdh there as well. After graduation, he attended Benedictine University and obtained his Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences with a minor in Secondary Education. After completing his undergraduate degree, he moved to Alexandria, Egypt where he studied Arabic and Islamic studies and enrolled in Al-Azhar University. Simultaneously, he completed his master's degree from Saint Xavier University in Curriculum and Instruction as well as his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Creighton University. He holds a degree in Islamic Law from al-Azhar University and has ijazahs in the Qira'ah of Hafs 'an A'asim. He lives in the Chicagoland suburbs with his wife and three daughters.

Shaykh Rizwan Ali

Shaykh Omar Hedroug was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and raised in Chicago. He attended The Islamic Foundation School in Villa Park and then graduated from Benedictine University on a Pre-Med track. While in high school and college, Omar had the opportunity to study the Islamic sciences under various local scholars. While in college, Omar was accepted as a scholarship student at the Islamic University of Madinah. He completed an Associates Degree in the Arabic language and a Bachelors Degree from the College of Shariah, graduating with the highest honors from the faculty of Islamic Law. While in Madinah, he also attended classes at the Prophet's mosque studying the various Islamic sciences. He recently moved back to Chicago where he resides with his family. He currently serves as the full time youth director at the Islamic Center of Naperville.

Shaykh Omar Hedroug

Shaykh Ismaeil Al Qadi is an Islamic educator, public speaker, and Qur’an specialist with over 15 years of international experience in Islamic education, spiritual leadership, and media. Previously, he served as the Qur’an teacher at the Islamic Center of Naperville (ICN) in Illinois, where many students graduated as Huffadh under his guidance. He also held teaching and leadership roles at Furqaan Academy and Dar Al-Huda Weekend School in Bolingbrook and Villa Park. He served as the Head of the Islamic Studies Department at the British International Academy in Amman, Jordan, where he lead the delivery of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.

Shaykh Ismaeil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Sciences and Islamic Jurisprudence and its Foundations from Applied Science University in Amman, where he graduated top of his class, and an Associate’s degree in Islamic Studies from the Islamic American University in Michigan. He is certified in seven Qirā’āt (Shātibiyyah and Durrah) with Sanad tracing back to the Prophet ﷺ, and holds Ijazahs in some core texts in Hadith, Fiqh (Shāfiʿī and Hanafi), Aqidah, and Islamic inheritance law. 

In addition to his teaching, he hosts religious programs on Iqraa International TV and Hayaat FM, and actively produces educational Islamic content through social media. He is known for his engaging teaching style, deep knowledge, and ability to connect with youth and adults alike. 

Shaykh Ismaeil Al Qadi

Shaykh Hisham Elbeltagi was born and raised in Egypt. He studied at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif from the elementary school until graduating from the Faculty of Asoul Aldeen and Islamic Da‘wah, specializing in Qur’anic Tafsir and Sciences, and later obtained his Ph.D. from Al-Azhar University in Egypt in the same field. He memorized the entire Qur’an under the guidance of his father, Sheikh Abdel-Maaboud Elbeltagi, and then at a Qur’an school under Sheikh Sediq Al-Jammal (may Allah have mercy on them both).

Shaykh Hisham studied the Hanbali and Hanafi schools of jurisprudence under the late scholar Sheikh Ahmed Jalabia (of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif), as well as under esteemed scholars Egypt and Kuwait. He served in one of the mosques in Kuwait while also teaching Qur’an to children and adults in Qur’an circles under the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs from 2002 until the end of 2011. In addition, he taught Shafi‘i jurisprudence, as well as Tafsir and Hadith, at the Dar Al-Qur’an under the Kuwaiti Ministry of Awqaf from 2007 until the end of 2015.

In 2016, Shaykh Hisham moved to the United States and has been honored to serve at our blessed mosque, the Islamic Center of Naperville, since December 2018 to the present day.
