$12 per person. For each member in the household.
When to give?
Must be given before Eid prayer. It is best to give in the last few days of Ramadan, so it reaches people on time.

Fidya
What is Fidya?
Given by someone who cannot fast due to a long-term or chronic condition (e.g., elderly or permanently ill). This charitable donation feeds a person in need for each missed fast.
How much is Fidya?
$12 per missed fast.
When to give?
May be paid during or after Ramadan. Can be given daily or as a lump sum
Who gives Fidya?
Someone who is permanently unable to fast. If the person later becomes able to fast, they should make up the fast instead.
Ramadan community iftars are a special time when people come together to break their fast in a warm and welcoming environment. Sharing food side by side creates a sense of unity, compassion, and belonging. It’s not just about the meal, it’s about connecting with neighbors, strengthening friendships, and remembering those in need. These gatherings reflect the true spirit of Ramadan: gratitude, generosity, and togetherness. 🌙
